Proof of Purchase is required for all warranty claims. Electronic components in SKB brand hardshell pedalboard systems are warranted for five years from date of purchase. Soft cases and gig bags are warranted for one year from date of purchase. SKB is not responsible for the shipping cost of the case to our facility. However, SKB will cover all of the costs of repairs and/or replacements, as well as the return shipping. To request a return authorization for a warranty claim, please contact our customer service department at our online Support Request form or by calling us at (800) 654-5992.

SKB ATA Sport Cases are crafted to exceed the ATA (Airline Transportation Association) specification 300, category 1 rating. This specification establishes a stringent standard for transport container design ensuring the product's ability to withstand a minimum of 100 trips by air. SKB ATA-rated cases are molded from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, the material specified by the U.S. military for cases and containers built to withstand the toughest field conditions imaginable. The case color runs through the material so scratches are invisible and the "poly" is impervious to all solvents, oils, fuels and acids. Every case detail is purposefully designed to optimize function. The molded-in configuration of bumpers and ribs are designed to absorb shock and vibration as well as provide protection for exposed hardware. The ribs give the case superior rigidity and create the unique male / female mating system for secure stacking. The aluminum valance on SKB cases provides a reliable "tongue and groove" closure and a neoprene "o-ring" gasket keeps out harmful moisture. Heavy-duty, die-cast locking latches are engineered for a lifetime of easy, smooth service. These quality latches are field replaceable and are guaranteed for the life of the case.

You may have heard that everything gives you cancer – if you live in California. The reason is that it is a California state law that requires businesses to provide reasonable warning about the use of any chemicals the state has decided could cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The list of chemicals and substances is extensive - currently totaling approximately 900.
For those consumers who live outside of California, you are not accustomed to seeing Prop 65 Warnings everywhere you go to shop, eat, buy groceries, fix your car, and are even posted at amusement parks.
SKB has been making cases since 1977. We have no reported cases of our products causing harm or danger to anyone. We believe in the safety of our products and we meet all the applicable safety requirements. We are unable to test against the 900+ chemicals listed for Prop 65 and to 100% certainty, and therefore, in an abundance of caution, we have placed the warning on our products to be in compliance with this California regulation. You will also see the Prop 65 warning on products that you buy outside of California, because we are unable to determine our products’ final retail destination.
